TELEGRAM TRYOUT: This Donald Trump sim lets you rise from zero to president fast and earn airdrop rewards, but is it worth it?

President Donald Trump is the biggest story in crypto over the last week, from his Solana meme coin launch to the impact of his inauguration and initial regulatory moves on the broader crypto market.
If you’re not tired of the returning commander-in-chief just yet, then there’s a rising Telegram game that lets you build out his business and political empire in exchange for a share of a future token airdrop.
Launched a few weeks back, is an evolution of earlier Telegram idle games like Hamster Kombat and X Empire (aka Musk Empire), tasking you with expanding the president’s various money-making efforts by growing your team, courting investors, and spending towards business upgrades.
In practice, this means little more than tapping buttons to spend your in-game coins to boost your earnings or recruit managers and investors to aid your cause.
Along the way, you’ll grow a construction business, launch a social network (a clear riff on Trump’s Truth Social), drop your own crypto token, and eventually become U.S. president… and “lead the world government,” too. All of this makes you an obscene amount of money, of course.
It’s a pure number-go-up game, much like Bitcoin Miner or Notcoin or scads of other simple crypto games—but among such repetitive games, it’s actually pretty addictive.
Quickly, the numbers get to truly absurd levels—like 581 duovigintillion—and it’s hard to look away when they keep pumping. You’re not doing a whole lot, but it’s still oddly satisfying to see so much imaginary money flood your smartphone.
This must be what early TRUMP meme coin traders felt like last weekend.
But part of the game is selling it all and starting over with a substantial earnings multiplier, just like in Bitcoin Miner. In this case, you can dump everything in exchange for attracting some enormous amount of “investors,” each of which juices the amount of fake money you bring in.
Sell your business empire to gain 15 nonillion investors, and you’ll earn at a dramatically faster rate the next time around.
After a few of these cycles, it only takes moments to make all the upgrades needed to get you back to where you’d been before the dumping began, so it just becomes a regular part of the game flow.
It doesn’t take long to realize that Trump’s Empire does one thing and does it over and over again, albeit with bigger numbers being thrown your way. Some players will understandably be turned off by that, but I can’t help but keep playing this Telegram game.
Granted, most of the Telegram gaming airdrops over the last few months have underwhelmed players, and I certainly don’t expect that my $1.8 trevigintillion (or whatever) worth of in-game earnings are going to translate to more than mere peanuts once the on-chain token arrives.
But Trump’s Empire nails its simple gameplay loop—and I just can’t look away, at least not yet.
