- TRUMP token fell by over US$3 after surging to US$14.72, losing a some of its gains despite ongoing bidding for exclusive access to Trump.
- The rally followed Trump’s invitation for holders to “bet” on his token to gain access to an exclusive dinner, with the top 220 holders invited.
- Senator Ossoff criticised the scheme while Trump simultaneously disbanded the team investigating crypto scams.
- Trump remains constantly in headlines with numerous controversial moves including tariff wars, crypto ventures and executive orders.
After rallying by 77%, and hitting US$14.72 (AU$22.97) – the highest it’s been since early March – US President Donald Trump’s memecoin, TRUMP, came crashing down hard. The coin is down over US$3 (AU$4.68), losing much of its recent gains over the past day.
The rally came, of course, on the back of an invitation by Trump to “bet” on his token to gain access to him at an exclusive dinner in Washington D.C. on May 22.
220 of the top TRUMP holders will be able to attend the event at the Trump National Golf Club. On top, there’s also a very exclusive VIP reception which will be held for the top 25 wallets.
So, basically, if you buy more TRUMP tokens than anyone else you get exclusive access to Donald Trump.

Not surprisingly, the announcement drew criticism, with many accusations over a lack of transparency.
Interestingly, Trump also just dismantled the team investigating crypto scams.
And while the actual event is still a month off, the price-drop comes rather suddenly, considering that bidding is still in full swing.
Trump, who is no stranger to controversy, promoted his token just a month ago, saying it was “so cool”. A post on his socials raised a lot of eyebrows, but failed to do the same to the token price.
Trump News Continues to Dominate
Earlier this month Trump was in the news over an announcement that the US President would be launching a Monopoly-style web3 game. The game, which is said to be similar to MONOPOLY GO!, is reportedly slated for a launch later this month, though Trump has been rather quiet about it.
There seems to be no day that passes without Trump in the news, be it his tariff war which he started with almost the entire world, a crypto grift or an executive order, the man remains front and centre of current affairs.
