- Web3 gaming publisher, YGG Play, has launched a crossover event in which players can face-off against popular Bearish characters in their baseball-themed game, GIGACHADBAT.
- The event which runs from January 31 to February 3, allows players to earn double-rewards on GIGACHADBAT’s play-to-airdrop (P2A) leaderboards.
- The event coincides with the February 6 launch of GIGACHADBAT’s in-game utility and rewards token, $CHAD, with players ranked higher on the P2A leaderboard standing to receive a larger airdrop.
Web3 gaming publisher YGG Play has refreshed its degen-focussed offerings, launching an IP-crossover event which sees its hit baseball-themed game GIGACHADBAT join forces with well-known NFT collection and degen IP, Bearish.
From January 31 until February 3, four of Bearish’s most well-known characters: Barry ‘The OG’, Bella ‘The Heartbreaker’, Scotty ‘The Street Bear’ and Toli ‘The Chaos King’ will enter GIGACHADBAT as part of a limited-time Boss Raid. During the event, players will earn double rewards points towards their GIGACHADBAT play-to-airdrop (P2A) leaderboard ranking.
“Partnering with YGG Play is about plugging into an ecosystem that understands games, communities, and how to scale them globally,” Toli, the co-founder of Bearish, said in a statement.
“YGG knows how to turn strong IP into addictive gameplay, and CHAD Raids bring Bearish into GIGACHADBAT in a way that’s native to the gameplay itself.”

Event Comes as GIGACHADBAT Prepares Token Launch
The crossover event comes as YGG Play prepares for the February 6 launch of GIGACHADBAT’s $CHAD token. $CHAD is described by YGG Play as being an in-game utility and reward token that “unlocks powerful in-game benefits for GIGACHADBAT players.”
Staking the token will allow players to receive rewards like more powerful bats and balls and other gameplay perks.
According to YGG Play, $CHAD will remain DeFi only, with no plans to pursue centralised exchange (CEX) listings of the token. The broader YGG Play ecosystem already has another token with CEX listings, $YGG. $YGG will remain the ecosystem’s main token, with $CHAD being used specifically for GIGACHADBAT.

The event also coincides with the launch of Bearish’s $BURR token, a hybrid ERC-404 asset that will be used within the Bearish ecosystem.
YGG Games said there are plans to expand its collaboration with Bearish throughout 2026, with a similar crossover event planned in March involving another YGG Play game, LOL Land Board.
