This week in crypto news, the Cryptoverse rejoiced as BTC jumped over USD 52K again, and Cardano Mary update arrived with native tokens. Enjin announced two scaling solutions meant to remove gas fees and support NFTs from any blockchain, and as stablecoins in general rise, tether’s supply dominance hit a record low. Meanwhile, while Chris Larsen’s lawyer asked the court to dismiss the SEC’s case against the exec, MoneyGram got slapped with a class-action lawsuit over Ripple and XRP partnership, and Arthur Hayes is negotiating his surrender as BitMEX is planning to launch spot trading and other services. While ex-WallStreetBets moderators aim to turn WBS 2.0 decentralized and tokenized, Daniel Larimer has plans for a “logically decentralized” communication platform, and BSC is put to the decentralization test.
And more news came as MicroStrategy used a dip to buy BTC 328 and BTC 205, CoinFlip added dogecoin to its network, and Bitfinex announced the launch of Bitfinex Pay. Furthermore, smaller South Korean exchanges may find a way to survive the promulgation of a new crypto act, the US SEC is ‘on the clock’ for a key bitcoin ETF decision, and the Chinese Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region might push bitcoin miners to greener sources of energy. Meanwhile, NFT overtook LTC, BCH and XRP on Google, Japan will welcome its reportedly first IEO for an NFT platform, and Grimes and the Paris Hilton went full NFT, but some warned of the NFT music and art bubble potentially popping.
And now, the jokes! Enjoy!
