- League of Kingdoms is rebranding as Arena-Z, launching two new RPGs—Chronicle and Hunters, alongside a new token system and a US$20M fund to attract third-party developers.

League of Kingdoms is moving beyond its roots as a single MMORTS and into a larger gaming network under the new Arena-Z brand, bringing with it two new titles, a fresh token system, and a US$20M (AU$30.6M) fund aimed at attracting outside developers.
The expansion includes League of Kingdoms Chronicle, a dungeon RPG that supports existing NFT hero assets, and LOK Hunters, a passive-play RPG structured around seasonal progression and token incentives.
All games are currently in beta and are scheduled to go live before the end of the quarter.

Moreover, all three titles will operate on Arena-Z Chain, a Layer-2 (L2) built on Optimism’s OP Superchain. The infrastructure allows for unified progression, asset sharing, and cross-title reward systems. Han Yoo, 3MERGED COO told Decrypt:

Unlike many blockchain games that bolt crypto features onto traditional frameworks, Arena-Z embeds asset portability into its core design.
Hence, items like land, rare loot, and in-game creatures (Dragos – dragon-like creatures) exist as NFTs and can be used across titles. However, blockchain use isn’t forced, players uninterested in crypto wallets or tokens can still engage with the games in full.
With the rebrand comes a complete overhaul of the ecosystem’s economy. The former LOKA token is being phased out in favor of A2Z, which now handles governance, transactions, and incentives, and players can convert old tokens into A2Z.
The US$20M fund has been allocated to onboard new developers to the platform. A secondary token, HT, now supports in-game activity for LOK Hunters specifically. According to the team, the goal is to support Web3-native builders and also onboard Web2 game studios looking to adopt blockchain without overcomplicating the user experience.
