- Australian musician, Iggy Azalea, has announced the next phase of her MOTHER project – an online casino called Motherland.

Australian rapper Iggy Azalea has taken a break from writing songs such as “I am the Strip Club” to enter the Web3 game. Earlier this year she stole crypto headlines by releasing her meme coin MOTHER, which has gained nearly 300% since its launch.
Unlike some other celebrity tokens, Iggy hasn’t just dropped the coin and ran. The Aussie musician plans to build an entire Mother-based ecosystem – starting with unveiling “Motherland”, an online casino.

Motherland Casino to Offer Sports Betting, Spin the Wheel Competitions and Blackjack
The online gaming venue is slated for a November launch, and will provide users with everything you’d expect – roulette, Texas hold ‘ems, slot machines and more.
The platform will also host prediction markets, sports betting and other gambling tournaments.
Motherland’s advisor, Joe McCann, was tight-lipped when asked about the utility of the MOTHER token when enjoying the casino’s features. However, he did note that the meme coin already boasts some utility, such as discounts on music festivals featuring Iggy and cheap access to her telecommunications service.
Seemingly unlike every other celeb coin ahead of Iggy, she has a very cohesive and comprehensive strategy as to how she’s building community around the MOTHER token, the MOTHER community, and most importantly, the utility of the MOTHER token and where it’s going.

Despite the controversy around online gambling and celebrity meme coins, social media has been alight with praise for Iggy’s vision. Much of the positivity is derived from her Motherland Rodeo, an event where the rapper announced the launch of her casino platform.
Attendees claimed she was down-to-earth and spent a lot of time getting to know her community – again, something rare for celebrity crypto projects.
Whether Iggy Azalea’s vision will become a highly-functional ecosystem, or turn into another celebrity cash grab, is still up in the air.
For the time being, it seems as though the Aussie rapper is committed to the Mother project and creating an inclusive Web3 ecosystem for fans.
