Hyundai Motor Group is forging a partnership with NVIDIA to enhance its mobility solutions through advanced AI and digital twin technologies. This collaboration was announced at the CES trade show in Las Vegas, highlighting Hyundai’s commitment to innovation in smart mobility.

Advanced AI Initiatives

The partnership aims to integrate NVIDIA’s accelerated computing, generative AI, digital twins, and physical AI technologies into Hyundai’s mobility offerings. The automotive giant plans to incorporate these technologies across its range of products, including software-defined vehicles, robotics, and optimized manufacturing processes.

Heung-Soo Kim, executive vice president and head of the global strategy office at Hyundai Motor Group, emphasized the transformative potential of AI in areas such as robotics, autonomous driving, and smart factory operations. Simulation and Digital Twins in Manufacturing

Hyundai will utilize the NVIDIA Omniverse platform running on NVIDIA OVX systems to create a digital thread across its existing software tools. This will facilitate accurate product design and prototyping in a digital twin environment, boosting engineering efficiencies and reducing costs.

Furthermore, Hyundai and NVIDIA will develop simulated environments for autonomous driving systems, ensuring safe testing of self-driving technology under various conditions.
