The long wait is over; HBO’s “Money Electric” is out. The much hyped show promised to reveal who Satoshi Nakamoto is, which it did, but not very convincingly.
Filmmaker Cullen Hoback suggests Canadian developer Peter Todd might be Satoshi Nakamoto, based on a suspicious 2013 email exchange and a notable interaction where Todd appears to correct Satoshi.
Todd called the conclusion “ludicrous”, hinting that the documentary could receive some interesting feedback from the Bitcoin community:
This is going to be very funny when you put this into the documentary and a bunch of bitcoiners watch it.

Indeed, early reactions show that most on Crypto Twitter doubt that Todd is Satoshi and many claiming “we are all Satoshi” – except of course, Craig Wright, who had to issue an official statement saying that he’s not Satoshi.
Todd told Coindesk in a previously released statement that “of course” he’s not Satoshi, saying Hoback is “grasping at straws”.

Peter Todd is a well-known Bitcoin core developer who communicated with Satoshi Nakamoto before Satoshi’s 2010 disappearance.
Though highly respected in the crypto community, Todd was 23 when the Bitcoin white paper was finalised.
