Harvey announces integration with NetDocuments, optimizing legal teams’ access to secure document management without altering existing workflows.

Streamlining Document Access and Management

Harvey, a leading provider of legal technology solutions, has unveiled its new integration with NetDocuments, a prominent document management system (DMS). This integration aims to enhance the efficiency of legal teams by providing seamless access to documents without compromising security or altering existing management practices, according to [Harvey](https://www.harvey.ai/blog/harvey-netdocuments-integration).

Maintaining Security and Workflow Integrity

The integration allows legal teams to securely access and utilize NetDocuments files directly within Harvey. This process does not require creating local copies or changing existing permissions, as access remains governed by the organization’s NetDocuments controls. This ensures that documents are easily accessible while maintaining the highest security standards.

Enhanced Functionality for Legal Teams

Users can now upload files from NetDocuments into Harvey for use in assistant queries or to store in vaults. The integration also supports advanced search capabilities, allowing users to filter by cabinet and search by matter, folder, client, or file. Furthermore, Harvey plans to enable the export of work back to NetDocuments, streamlining document management and ensuring continuity within the legal workflow.

Practical Applications and Future Developments

Legal professionals can leverage this integration for tasks such as due diligence. For instance, a user can create a subfolder within Harvey’s vault, upload necessary documents from NetDocuments, and perform a Change of Control Analysis workflow. This workflow automatically extracts pertinent information from agreements, which can then be exported back to NetDocuments. This ensures the analysis remains linked to the original documents and accessible to the entire team.

Early Access and Future Prospects

The integration is currently available in early access. Harvey encourages current customers to engage with their customer success managers to explore this new feature. As legal teams increasingly rely on digital solutions, Harvey continues to innovate, promising to enhance workflow efficiency and document management for the legal industry.Image source: Shutterstock
