- Changpeng Zhao (CZ) revealed his portfolio, showcasing how most of his holdings are in BNB, and just a fraction in Bitcoin and other assets.
- CZ has been hodling for so long that he doesn’t even remember where certain currencies in his portfolio come from.
- He claims to be a “boring guy” because he only holds 1.3% in BTC.
After spending a few months in jail back in 2024, the one and only Changpeng Zhao (CZ) has decided to flex on us one more time by revealing what his portfolio holds.
According to a post on Square, the co-founder and former Binance CEO revealed that 98.6% of his portfolio is composed of BNB, Binance’s native token, while Bitcoin (BTC) accounts for approximately 1.3%, with smaller allocations in the Euro-pegged stablecoin EURI at 0.17%, and USDT at 0.03%.

The remaining holdings include minor fractions of other tokens, such as sBTC, a synthetic Bitcoin asset used on the Stacks layer-2 network. Apparently, he only holds 1.3% in Bitcoin because he’s a “boring guy”.
Some Unusual (or Boring) Holdings
It’s quite an unusual risk to take for someone with such a high profile as CZ. Publicly revealing personal crypto holdings is uncommon because it often attracts scrutiny from regulators and bad intentions from hackers and malicious actors, and I’m not sure which is worse.
It’s not surprising then why wealthy crypto investors often avoid such disclosures due to concerns over project affiliations, community criticism, or potential targeting by cybercriminals.
If you don’t know where that EURI token comes from, well, me neither, and nor does CZ, stating that:
“I actually can’t remember where that came from. I assume it is associated with Binance Card. Maybe in the early days of Binance Card, that was the currency to spend? Not sure.”

Zhao’s presence on X has proven to be a market-moving force, frequently inspiring speculative trading and meme coin launches. In early February, his post about his dog, Broccoli, triggered a memecoin trading frenzy, with one Broccoli-themed token reaching over US$80M (AU$120M) in daily volume.
