SeqsLab addresses these challenges by utilizing NVIDIA Parabricks and RAPIDS Accelerator for Apache Spark (Spark-RAPIDS). This integration accelerates the processing of large-scale genomic and EMR data, allowing clinicians to make informed decisions swiftly. SeqsLab’s data lakehouse feature enables the integration of genomic information with clinical interpretations, enhancing the decision-making process.

Accelerating Genomic Analysis

Parabricks significantly reduces the time required for genomic analysis by leveraging GPU acceleration. For instance, variant calling of a 30x whole genome sequencing can be completed in just 10 minutes using NVIDIA T4 GPUs, a task that traditionally took hours on CPU.

Enabling Scalable Data Processing

Spark-RAPIDS enhances downstream analysis with its ability to accelerate SQL queries and machine learning tasks. Training models, such as XGBoost for cancer type classification, is dramatically faster with GPU acceleration, enabling rapid insights and clinical applications.
