AiMation Studios uses ElevenLabs’ AI technology to revolutionize character creation, cutting costs and production time significantly. The studio is pioneering new methods in the film industry.

AiMation Studios is transforming the landscape of animation and film production through the innovative use of ElevenLabs’ AI technology. By incorporating ElevenLabs’ Voice AI and sound effects models, AiMation is not only bringing characters to life but also significantly speeding up its production pipeline, according to ElevenLabs.

Paton, a key figure at AiMation, highlights how ElevenLabs enables the studio to generate high-quality AI voices and enhance sound design with AI-generated effects tailored to each scene. This technology has streamlined production processes, drastically reducing traditional voiceover costs and timelines. The creation of the film ‘Where the Robots Grow’ exemplifies this efficiency; using traditional methods, the project would have cost millions and taken years, whereas with ElevenLabs, it was completed in a fraction of the time and cost.

Speed, Efficiency, and Cost Savings

The film industry is notorious for its lengthy production cycles and high costs. However, AiMation is demonstrating that AI can revolutionize these aspects. The studio’s adoption of ElevenLabs technology allowed for the production of ‘Where the Robots Grow’ at a significantly reduced cost and timeframe.

Beyond animation, AiMation is expanding its use of AI into reality TV. The studio employs ElevenLabs to power AI-driven reality TV shows, where characters created with Unreal Engine engage in unscripted interactions. AI-generated voices drive these narratives, enabling the production of engaging reality shows at scale.

Furthermore, ElevenLabs’ sound effects have become an integral part of AiMation’s toolkit, used for everything from ambient noise to dynamic character dialogues. This eliminates the need for large sound libraries or manual recordings.

Paton is not only rethinking production but also distribution. AiMation is pioneering a microtransaction-based platform to replace traditional theatrical releases. This model is optimized for AI-generated films and series, allowing the studio to control both production and distribution while maintaining high-quality standards.

Looking Ahead

According to Paton, ElevenLabs is more than just a tool for AiMation; it is the backbone of their creative process. The studio has developed a scalable, efficient production model that heavily relies on AI for everything from voice acting to sound design.

With ‘Where the Robots Grow’ serving as a proof of concept, AiMation is now developing 25 additional AI-driven films, all powered by ElevenLabs technology. As AI continues to reshape creative industries, AiMation Studios is at the forefront, proving that AI-driven production can be faster, cheaper, and better than traditional methods.
