Applications Open for 2026 Financial Leaders Programme
The Hong Kong Academy of Finance (AoF) has announced that applications for its 2026 intake of the Financial Leaders Programme (FLP) will open on November 12, 2025. This initiative aims to nurture senior financial executives poised to ascend to top leadership roles, according to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. The programme is structured to provide a transformative experience over a nine-month period, operated on a part-time basis.
Programme Overview and Objectives
Launched in 2022, the FLP has garnered positive feedback from participants and stakeholders within the financial industry. The programme is designed for executives approximately one or two levels below the CEO position, offering them the opportunity to develop strategic mindsets necessary for navigating the complexities of the modern financial landscape. Participants benefit from interactions with distinguished leaders across various sectors, enhancing their professional networks.
Support from Financial Regulators
The FLP is supported by key financial regulators in Hong Kong, including the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the Insurance Authority, the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority, and the Securities and Futures Commission. This backing underscores the programme’s significance in strengthening Hong Kong’s status as an international financial hub.
Application Process and Encouragement
Applications for the 2026 FLP will be accepted from November 12 to December 14, 2025. Interested candidates can find further information and application forms on the AoF website. Chairman of the AoF and Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Mr. Eddie Yue, emphasized the importance of cultivating financial leaders with global perspectives and innovative thinking. He encouraged senior financial executives to apply or nominate others who could benefit from the programme.
The 2026 FLP is set to commence in April 2026, continuing its mission to inspire and equip the next generation of financial leaders in Hong Kong.
