Binance Smart Chain (BSC) Surpasses Solana in DEX Volumes Amid Incentive-Driven Surge

In a remarkable turnaround, Binance Smart Chain (BSC) has overtaken Solana in decentralized exchange (DEX) volumes, driven by the strategic deployment of Binance Alpha, according to galaxy.com. The surge in activity is largely attributed to Binance Alpha’s airdrops and trading incentives, which have attracted significant onchain engagement.

Binance Alpha’s Role in BSC’s Revival

Introduced in December 2024, Binance Alpha offers users early access to tokens not available on Binance’s spot or futures markets. This initiative has been instrumental in BSC’s recent success, as it surpassed Solana by 44% in DEX volumes, accounting for over 37% of total DEX activity by the end of June 2025.

Key Factors Behind the Surge

The restructuring of Binance Alpha to integrate seamlessly with the Binance exchange interface has eliminated friction for users, allowing them to trade Alpha tokens directly from their CEX accounts. Additionally, a tiered points system rewards users based on their engagement, further incentivizing trading on the platform.
