  • Gaming giant Ubisoft partners with crypto heavyweight Immutable to develop strategy card game Might & Magic: Fates.
  • Ubisoft is known for producing heavyweight gaming titles such as the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
  • Immutable is one of the leading gaming blockchains, operating as an infrastructure layer to bring many web3 games to market.
  • Might & Magic: Fates will be free-to-play and available on both Android and iOS.

Crypto gaming infrastructure project Immutable have announced that their partnership with Ubisoft has resulted in the production of Might & Magic Fates, a strategy card game.

Thrilled to finally be able to reveal the outcome of our biggest partnership yet: we’re launching Might & Magic Fates with @Ubisoft – and it’s coming this year.

Robbie Ferguson, Co-founder of Immutable

With Ubisoft having developed the popular Assassin’s Creed franchise, and Immutable being one of the largest crypto gaming projects, it’s a partnership which holds significance for the industry.

2 years ago we announced our AAA partnership with @Ubisoft. Today we’re thrilled to finally be able to reveal the outcome: Might & Magic Fates, launching this year.

While the partnership was announced 2 years ago, it has only just been announced that the first tangible outcome of the partnership is the strategy card game Might & Magic: Fates.

Ferguson also hinted that there are further announcements relating to Immutable’s partnership with Ubisoft.

With Ubisoft Connect’s 138M+ users, we’re expecting MAU growth that will make the last few years look like a footnote.

About Might & Magic

Might & Magic allows players to both collect and trade cards where they can battle in a skills-based game. The historic IP encompasses a range of heroes and creatures. The game will reportedly involve a large amount of strategy where factions are an integral part of the game mechanics.

As one of the most iconic franchises in strategy gaming, Might & Magic has a rich legacy that we’re thrilled to expand upon.

Nicolas Pouard, Vice President of Ubisoft

Might & Magic: Fates is just the latest release in a large and long-running franchise of Might & Magic, which sports millions of global players and over 40 years of IP.

About Immutable

Immutable is a layer-2 scaling solutions for Ethereum that has been tailored for web3 gaming. They are considered an infrastructure layer and are one of the main contenders in blockchain gaming, with a host of major titles to their name.

Crypto Gaming

Both price action and market interest in crypto gaming has waned in recent years, as sectors such as memes and AI seem to have dominated the narrative.

However large partnerships, such as this one involving Ubisoft and Immutable, hold the potential to change that, particularly if a successful game can achieve mass adoption. With a mobile focus, Might & Magic: Fates holds the potential to reach a wider global audience.
