Animoca Brands Japan collaborates with TOKYO STUPID GAMES to enhance Web3 expansion and real-world assets integration.

Animoca Brands Japan, a strategic subsidiary of Animoca Brands, has announced a partnership with TOKYO STUPID GAMES, a gaming platform focused on real-world assets (RWAs) for Japanese brands and intellectual properties (IPs). According to Animoca Brands, this collaboration aims to leverage Animoca Brands Japan’s extensive network to support TOKYO STUPID GAMES’ global expansion, focusing on marketing and token economy planning and design.

Web3 Integration and Real-World Assets

TOKYO STUPID GAMES is developing a platform where users can obtain NFTs linked to RWAs, such as trading cards, original goods, and fashion items. This initiative seeks to promote the use of Web3 technology for Japanese brands and IPs, enhancing their global presence, fan acquisition, and user engagement. The platform has previously held art exhibitions showcasing international collaborations between Japan and global Web3 projects and established partnerships with prominent Japanese pop culture and contemporary art leaders such as PARCO and Warehouse TERRADA.

Strategic Goals and Support

Animoca Brands Japan serves as a gateway between Japan and the global market, supporting the international development of Japanese IP and content in the Web3 domain. The company aims to accelerate the mass adoption of Web3 by leveraging its experience and the extensive network of over 540 companies and projects in which its parent company, Animoca Brands, has invested. This partnership is expected to bolster the global expansion of TOKYO STUPID GAMES, aligning with Animoca Brands Japan’s mission to promote Japanese culture worldwide.

Leadership Perspectives

We are excited to be working with Animoca Brands, a leading global player, to take on the challenges of the future with the vision of building a new economic sphere by bridging Web3 and Japanese culture.”

Kensuke Amo, COO of Animoca Brands Japan, added, “Animoca Brands Japan is delighted to support the global expansion of TOKYO STUPID GAMES as a partner, with the goal to accelerate mass adoption of Web3 by acting as a gateway between Japan and overseas markets. TOKYO STUPID GAMES is working to promote Japanese brands and IPs both domestically and internationally through real-world assets in Web3 games, an approach that is highly compatible with Animoca Brands Japan’s mission. Through the activities of both companies, we will continue to promote Japanese culture to the wider world.”
