Pre-Orders Launch for 2025 Release with Exclusive NFT Perks
SuiPlay0x1 is set for release in 2025, with a retail price of US$599 (AU$892). Preorders begin… well, now. The first 1,000 buyers will receive a “soulbound” NFT, which is non-transferable and offers unique benefits (although the benefits weren’t disclosed). The cherry on top is that early adopters will be able to pay in Sui, Ethereum, or Solana.
SuiPlay reaffirmed the device is designed to handle a wide range of PC games with varying quality settings depending on the game’s demands. Some of the specs in the SuiPlay0x1 are an AMD RYZEN 7 7840U, an AMD RYZEN 780M GPU, 16GB Memory, 512GB SSD Capacity and expandable storage (which is nice), among other features.
However, note that no specific titles have been confirmed for the SuiPlay0x1, but it will most likely support a variety of Sui games, including popular titles like Panzerdogs, Bushi, and Byte City. Additionally, the console will support crypto games from other blockchains, albeit with less integration.
Introducing Playtron OS
In essence, the SuiPlay0x1 runs on Playtron OS, a Linux-based system optimised for gaming. The device was developed in collaboration with Mysten Labs, the same blockchain firm behind the Sui Network.
Unlike other gaming operating systems, Playtron OS is designed to facilitate easy integration of Web3 features, enabling developers to add Sui wallet capabilities without extensive modifications.

Playtron emphasises community involvement and plans to release tools for open-source contributions — although the OS’s open-source status remains unconfirmed. Playtron OS will also be compatible with a variety of devices, including the ability to be installed on existing platforms like the Steam Deck.
