Shiba Inu’s highly anticipated layer-2 scaling solution Shibarium is nearly ready for launch.
Shibarium’s official Twitter account says the countdown is now on, and liftoff for a beta version of the platform will happen this week.
The team behind Shibarium says the launch will be open to the public, allowing anyone to get a feel for the new protocol.
“Attention SHIB Army – We’re thrilled to announce that Shibarium’s Public Beta will be launching THIS WEEK!
Make sure you’re following our official socials over the next few days as we reveal all the details on how to access the beta website.”
Shibarium is a layer-2 blockchain similar to Polygon (MATIC).
It’s designed to allow developers to create fast, inexpensive and highly scalable applications, and will spawn a new ecosystem of custom tokens that can be traded using Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) to pay for gas.
The impending launch has triggered a big jump in the price of BONE.
In the last 24-hours, BONE has soared 11%, and is trading at $1.72 at time of publishing.
